Balsamic Onion Burgers with Crispy Crumbed Cauliflower

This was mostly yummy, but it could be improved upon. The burger was very good, but next time I’ll make double the amount of aoili. It just wasn’t enough. Either that or perhaps they left out one of the jars of mayo. They definitely left out the oregano, and I didn’t have any on the spice rack, so we had to do without that. I expected the cauliflower to have more flavor than it did. It was good, but it could have been better. Loved the balsamic onions. That made it work, for sure.

Mostly yummy but could be improved

  • Prep Time (5 = short and easy)
  • Difficulty Level (5 = easiest)
  • Cleanup (5 = quickest)
4.3

Summary

Needs double the aoili, and the cauliflower lacked flavor, but the balsamic onions made these burgers worth eating.

Tip

Glance through the recipe instructions before you begin. Some recipes ask you to chop veggies in the middle of the process, usually while something else is cooking on the stove. I recommend ignoring those instructions. Instead, prep all your veggies before you do anything else. (You can preheat your oven during this time). If you are anything like me, trying to chop vegetables while watching over the cooking process will usually end up with overcooked or burned food, or even knicked fingers.
