Summary

I’ll probably stop ordering the Mediterranean meal kits. They aren’t bad, but we don’t like them “enough”. I think it’s just a personal preference thing. If you really, really dig a cucumber-heavy Mediterranean dish, you might love this one. The chicken flavor was good as it was seasoned with an Egyptian spice blend called Dukkah. That gave it lots of nice taste. But the lemony, cucumber-y salad flavor was too overpowering for our taste. And then the sour Feta cheese just added the over-the-top sharpness that made the chicken flavor completely disappear.

The dish was edible, no doubt. I just wouldn’t want it again. If I can find Dukkah seasoning in the store though, I’ll definitely try to keep that on hand.

Tip

Glance through the recipe instructions before you begin. Some recipes ask you to chop veggies in the middle of the process, usually while something else is cooking on the stove. I recommend ignoring those instructions. Instead, prep all your veggies before you do anything else. (You can preheat your oven during this time). If you are anything like me, trying to chop vegetables while watching over the cooking process will usually end up with overcooked or burned food, or even knicked fingers.
