Summary

Coocoo for Coconut

I love coconut shrimp. I love coconut anything to be honest. The only reason this meal kit did not earn 5.0 stars for flavor was because it needed more coconut. The coconut flavor was barely discernible. But even with that flaw, these shrimp were very very good. The crispiness was just right and the flavor was kickin!

Don’t Make Me Have To Borrow An Ingredient From a Neighbor

Meal kit companies always expect you to have a few things on hand. For that reason, most don’t send oil, salt, or pepper. The assumption is that you already have these items so they aren’t sent to you.

I’m okay with that by now. But come on, there’s a limit to doing things this way. Every other meal kit service I’ve used sends eggs in the box. That’s good, because I rarely have an egg in the house.

I bet you can guess where this is going. Marley Spoon doesn’t send eggs. If the recipe calls for an egg, you’ll need to either have one on hand, buy one, borrow one, or convince a chicken to lay one. In my case, after a few unsavory words that sprang from the big hole in my head, I sent Gail over to her mom’s house to borrow an egg. Egg obtained, recipe saved. But hey, Marley Spoon, from now on, don’t make me have to borrow an ingredient.
