Summary

If you like chicken breasts, you’ll probably like this dish. Gail and I are both fans of dark meat so we found this chicken to be too dry. But that’s how we usually feel about any chunk of breast meat so I’m not sure we are the best judge of this particular dish.

The dill sauce was very good, and I don’t generally like dill. I usually think it’s way too strong, but in this case it wasn’t. I could definitely eat more of this sauce! It tasted equally great on the potatoes and the beans too.

The potatoes stuck to the pan this time but that’s probably my fault. I think I should have checked them earlier and tossed them around a little. Tasted great despite leaving half of them stuck to the pan. This contributed to my cleanup score as it is annoying to have to scrub the stuck-on potatoes off the pan. (Hint: If you have dogs, let them do the hard work for you, LOL).

I’ll probably avoid getting more meal kits that focus on large chunks of chicken breasts as we’ll just have the same problem with the dryness again. But if white meat is your thing, then this dish is worth trying.

Tip

Glance through the recipe instructions before you begin. Some recipes ask you to chop veggies in the middle of the process, usually while something else is cooking on the stove. I recommend ignoring those instructions. Instead, prep all your veggies before you do anything else. (You can preheat your oven during this time). If you are anything like me, trying to chop vegetables while watching over the cooking process will usually end up with overcooked or burned food, or even knicked fingers.
