Summary

Neither of us are huge fans of salmon, but it’s supposed to have some health benefits, so this salmon fish stick type of meal seemed like it might be a good way for us to enjoy the fish more. That in itself worked, I suppose.

Kid Pleaser

Kids (and young adults) seemed to think this dish rocked. The older kids loved the super hot and spicy sauce, but definitely don’t serve the sauce to younger kids or anyone who dislikes spicy foods. This would be more of 4-5 star meal for kids, but it was less exciting for Gail and I, so the points went down some. But eating salmon this way – as panko breaded fish sticks – was preferable for us, so that is a positive. It just wasn’t anything to get excited about.

Flex Prep Muscles and Easy Cleanup

I hope your muscles are in good shape Slicing sweet potatoes are difficult enough on any given day, but slicing these interesting looking purple sweet potatoes was even more difficult. I might have to invest in a chainsaw for cutting up sweet potatoes!

Cleanup was a breeze though, so I’m all for that!

All in all, I don’t have a lot of good or bad things to say about this dish. It was okay. We won’t order it again, most likely, but I will occasionally make fish sticks out of salmon in the future, I think.

End Of My Sun Basket Experience?

Sun Basket started out pretty well with the Sole in Parchment meal kit, then tanked some with the Pesto Pizzettes, and with this meal, I have to say the excitement didn’t hold up through all three meals. I’m not convinced the higher price is worth it, but I can see how it might be for some people. It’s up to you.
