Summary

My favorite part of this dish was the crispy fried shallot, pine nuts, and sage topping. The fried shallot reminded me of the old canned french fried onions you always used to put on top of green bean casseroles, only this crispy fried onion tasted three times better. Same concept though. The crispiness went really well with the softness of the ravioli.

The ravioli itself wasn’t anything special…just your typical cheese ravioli, which isn’t bad of course. Just normal.

The only annoyance is the process of manually grating the parmesan cheese. It takes some strength and hurts my hand. I wish they’d send already grated parmesan instead.

All in all, good dish that we both enjoyed.
